Industry Analysis: The Aerospace and Defense sector recorded revenues of ~$740.5bn in 2022, an increase of 3% over 2021, and operating profit of $66bn, a rise of 8%. The minor increase in revenue fell short of projections as supply chain, labor issues and rising end-market demand led to producti limitations. Performance in the industry remained below pre-pandemic record highs. Industry revenues fell 4% short of the record-breaking $780bn set in 2019 while operational profit fell 18% short of the $82bn mark set in 2018.
